World’s cutest Canuk. [20 Nov 2007|10:17am]

My name is, my name is…Elisha Ann Cuthbert. It’s a pleasure to meet you too I’m sure. A story about me would have to start with who I am. Best known for being an actress and yes I’m Canadian. My birthday is November 30, 1982 (right around the corner) and the first time that happened was in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. To the ever so loving parents mother Patricia she is a homemaker. Proud papa Kevin Cuthbert an automotive design engineer. Like they hadn’t reached perfection they tried again getting my little brother and sister Jonathan and Lee-Ann. We grew up in Greenfield Park, near Montreal, Quebec.

When I was 7 I started modeling for various lines of children's clothing and also became a foot model. My first televised appearance was an extra in the horror-themed series for children, Are You Afraid of the Dark? I did so well I later become a series regular. This led to a great gig co-hosting Popular Mechanics for Kids, which was filmed in Montreal . If I could vote it would be for First Lady, Hillary Clinton because we partied at the White House.

My first role in a feature film was in the family drama Dancing on the Moon. That took the cake I was totally hooked and got an airplane thriller, Airspeed. In 2000 I graduated from Centennial Regional High School and moved to LA at the age of 17 to pursue an acting career.

The start here was mostly small roles in Old School and Love Actually. Then came The Girl Next Door, can you believe it my very first lead role, (as an ex-porn star, Danielle), alongside Emile Hirsch. I had initial reservations about taking the part, but was persuaded by director Luke Greenfield into accepting.

In my next big-screen outing I got to star with the abfab Paris Hilton and sexy Chad Michael Murray in the 2005 remake of the classic horror film House of Wax. Notable memory in one scene, my lips were glued together… with real superglue. We won’t talk about Jared pitching a fit with his agent over getting shot with a wax gun. He was so mad he repeatedly walked off the lot.

After that I really wanted to see how the other half lived and tried my hand at producing. Rather co-producing and actually financing for the movie The Quiet. It was a pretty smooth move for someone in my place. If you can only act or only produce, or only direct, how do you master your craft into being an all around attack on the industry. They make you or break you then, so why not put yourself out there… a force to be reckoned with. Calling the shots, just works for me.

You may have seen me in the music video for Weezer's "Perfect Situation" in early 2006. When I first met the guys I recited every line to Pinkerton for the first three days to make them think I was worthy. That was a lot of fun and drawing inspiration from a best friend of my then fiancé’. No need to name names shall we Trace? Then there was my smashing role in Paris Hilton's music video for the song "Nothing In This World".

I even delved into a television role of Kim Bauer, daughter of CTU agent Jack Bauer in the popular series 24. I appeared in the show's first three seasons, but not in its 4th. I did come back for the 5th season as a guest-star. Now there is a 24: The Game out that I worked on for the show. I would like to play my role as Kim in the upcoming movie, 24: The Movie. In addition 2007 is bringing two films for me one is called Captivity. This was a pretty spooky thriller centered on a fashion model taunted by a psychopath who has imprisoned her in a cellar. Then we are on to working on the remake of the popular South Korean movie, My Sassy Girl, alongside Jesse Bradford because he is awesome.

If that’s interesting to you then keep in touch.
